Il galleria degli Uffizi - the Uffizi Gallery, is a museum renowned for its artworks from the Italian renaissance period, and is located adjacent to the Piazza della Signoria in the historic center of Florence.

The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) crosses the Arno River, and is a made of stone consisting of three segmental arches. The bridge is famous for its jewelry shops along with art dealers and souvenir sellers. Originally butchers shops occupied this bridge which is believed to date back to ancient Roman times.

Piazza della Signoria is named after the Palazzo della Signoria, nowadays know as Palazzo Vecchio which overlooks this L-shaped square. The piazza is the main point of origin of the Florentine Republic and has been the focus of political life in Florence since the 14^th century.

Piazza della Repubblica has marked the center of Florence city since ancient Roman times, and is home to the Giubbe Rosse Café, where famous early 20^th century artists and writers used to meet.

The third largest cathedral in the world, the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, is located in the heart of the historical center of Florence; Piazza del Duomo, one of the most visited places in the world. The cathedral is famous for its grand Renaissance dome which stands tall above the city.

The Baptistery Doors form part of the Florence Baptistery and are part of the Florence Duomo complex. The three sets of doors are famous for their bronze relief sculptures, created by Andrea Pisano during the 14^th century, and Lorenzo Ghiberti during the 15^th century.
